n 1869 Russian chemist Dimitri Mendeleev started the development of the periodic table, arranging chemical elements by atomic mass. He predicted the discovery of other elements, and left spaces open in his periodic table. A Russian chemist called Dmitri Mendeleev published a periodic table. Mendeleev also arranged the elements known at the time in order of relative atomic mass, but he did some other things that made his table much more successful.
Just five years after John Newlands put forward his law of octaves. An octave was One of the first attempts at a periodic table, known as “Newlands octaves”.The first person to discover the periodic table was Dimitriv Mandleev.
